Caddy Program

Background

The role of the caddy has been an integral and romantic part of golf's tradition and history. The National Golf Club has access to a team of knowledgeable, passionate golfers who enjoy helping others on the course. If you have never played golf with the support of a good caddy, you owe it to yourself to experience it at least once. The game of golf is best experienced by walking with a caddy - truly, golf as it was meant to be. When you use a caddy you're helping preserve a tradition 500 years in the making as well as giving people the opportunity to perform their trade.

What can you expect from a good caddy?

Our caddies are independent contractors but all have committed to the Caddy Code of Conduct and have participated in specific training sessions. Your caddy will be dressed in uniform and he or she will be a knowledgeable golfer able to provide you with as much (or as little) input and guidance as you request.

How much does a good caddy cost?

Caddy fees are paid directly to the caddy in cash following the schedule below. "Course Guides" are available to work for more than 1 player. In these cases it is assumed the players will be using carts or trolleys . Cart/trolley fees may be additional and are payable by the player.
