Ladies ClinicDRIVING RANGE & TEACHING FACILITYWith the opening of the new driving range and teaching facility, National Members and their guest are now able to enjoy one of the finest practice facilities in the country. The driving range at The National offers over 100 square metres of quality couch grass to hit off. Combined with white Callaway golf balls, there is no better place to practice and improve your golf. With seven target greens and more than 240 metres in length, there is no limit to the array of shots that you can practice. On top of the first class driving range, there is a short game area located adjacent to the teaching facility which caters for all types of shots. There is one green that has all the contours and slopes required to improve your putting, and a second green for chipping, bunkers and pitching. There is also a short game area which can provide you with hours of skill improvement and entertainment. For those who practice, or for those who intend to increase the amount of practice that they do, The National's Teaching Facility will provide the student with all the state-of-the-art technology and help and advice from experienced PGA Professionals to improve quickly. Teaching software utilised through dual camera capturing, will provide the student with immediate feedback after each swing. Allowing swings to be kept on file will also provide the ability to make comparisons of swings over time to assess improvement. For the very keen student, lessons can be recorded and taken home as a DVD to help remind you of what to work on. A new edition to the Teaching Facility, and only available at a few locations within Australia, is the introduction of The Sound and Motion (SAM) Putt Lab. Historically, putting has been taught by feel, however, SAM Putt Lab has redefined the way we learn and understand the putting stroke. It has been scientifically proven that golfers learn faster through accurate data feedback, and SAM Putt Lab does exactly that. By measuring over 20 different parameters of the putting stroke, students will now have a way of identifying the exact errors that occur during their stroke. A putting session with the SAM Putt Lab can conclude with a printout of all the statistics required to understand how to take your putting stroke to the next level. SAM Putt Lab is also a vital tool when deciding on the purchase of a new putter. Having the ability to compare up to eight different putters at once, SAM Putt Lab will provide you with all the information to demonstrate which putter gives you the best results, and therefore making the decision between which putters extremely simple. There is no guess work required! | |

Another new edition to the Teaching Facility is the introduction of a launch monitor. Flightscope, used by many of the top club manufacturers, utilises Doppler radar technology (often used by the military for missile control) to measure a number of important pieces of data from the golf swing. Flightscope can provide the student and teacher necessary information such as club head speed, ball speed, launch angle and carry distances. This technology can be used in teaching to identify improvements over a period of time, but will also be a vital tool when club fitting. Similar to SAM Putt Lab, the Flightscope Launch Monitor is able to proved data comparing multiple clubs at once. Again, taking out the guess work, the customer can decide on which driver goes further or straighter, or whether a new set of irons will help lower the handicap. This data provides the consumer with greater confidence in their purchase. With combination of this latest technology, and the vast experience and knowledge of The National's Teaching Staff, you have all the necessary tools to improve your golf quickly, and increase your enjoyment of the game. If you are unsure about your current equipment, or are looking to update, please arrange a time for a professional club fit with one of our PGA Professionals. I am sure you will find the information provided is interesting and helpful, while our prices are extremely competitive. There is a PGA Professional available at times every day of the week, there to assist you with your golf. Please take the time to utilise the new practice facilities, and the expertise of our PGA Golf Professionals to help improve your golf and to realise your true potential.
