Currently the Old Course fairways are being cut with brushes fitted on the fairway mower cutting units. The brushes stand the grass up which have been flattened by golf cart wheels during play. This method removes grain on the fairways which will reduce the amount of roll golf balls have on fairways. By reducing the amount of roll on fairways, it is expected less balls will congregate in divot collection areas around the course.

Over the last couple of months the staff have been upgrading the 17th Old Course greenside and approach bunkers. The upgrade included drainage, stabilising the faces, upgrading the sand and lowering the walk-ins to provide easier access for golfers.
