I refer to my earlier communication in relation to confirmation that a member who attended the Cape Schanck site on Wednesday 30 December 2020 has tested positive to Covid-19.
I am aware there has been a recent Department of Health & Human Service (DHHS) update which outlined anyone who attended the Club between 11.40am and 1.30pm on this day were required to get tested for Covid-19 and isolate until receiving a negative result.
This advice was contrary to the advice the Club received on this matter and which was subsequently conveyed in my earlier communication today.
I can now confirm the earlier DHHS update was incorrect and anyone who attended the Cape Schanck site on Wednesday 30 December 2020 is not mandatorily required to get tested and self-isolate.
The DHHS advice is that anyone who was at the Club on Wednesday 30 December 2020 should monitor for any Covid symptoms and immediately get tested and self-isolate on the onset of any symptoms.
Accordingly DHHS will amend their advice on their website shortly.
I apologise for any inconvenience and confusion which has arisen but this was not within the control of the Club.
